Milwaukee Summerfest???
I had heard of it before, but my cousin just sent me a DVD of her husband's band performing there in 2003. It looks like a blast (even though it IS in Wisconsin)...LOL
Anyone here ever been?BANNED OR DEAD...I'LL TAKE EITHER ONE

Re: Milwaukee Summerfest???
I try to get there every year. I work in Milwaukee, so work usually gives us all a couple tickets. It's a blast. Lots of stages, lots of bands. Usually there some good comedy. And there's always plenty of food and beer. I've seen a lot of good music there.
This year it's from June 29th to July 9th, but they havn't announced any of the bands yet.

Re: Milwaukee Summerfest???
I've been there every year for the past 4 or 5 years. It's a good time, but it gets really expensive to buy beer and food if you're there all day.

I get the most pissed off looks from people with my VKG 4 LFE Wisconsin license plate, and I LOVE IT!!

Re: Milwaukee Summerfest???
He is the lead singer...an Elvis impersonator named Tortelvis. The band does Led Zeppelin covers (among other things) in a reggae style, with Tortelvis as the lead singer. Crazy, I know...but it works surprisingly well...and they are excellent musicians who have performed around the world.
Robert Plant has gone on record as saying that he LOVES the group...and that they do some of his songs better than he does!

Re: Milwaukee Summerfest???
Well, they may have the answer at www.summerfest.com, but I'm not sure myself. It's an 11 day event, and it always seems packed when I'm there, at least in the evenings, so it has to be a pretty large number.
