I just saw something on G4 about the sony motion controller, and that looks really impressive as well.
I saw that as well, and was a little disappointed that it is pretty much EXACTLY like the wii controller.

It looked as if it were a lot more precise compared to the controls of the wii games I've played.
I don't mean to be an ass.

BUT you say the Microsoft motion sensor is a wii ripoff but when it comes to the Sony new motion sensor controller, which is much much more like the wii motion controller than Microsoft's, you have something positive to say.

I never said anything like that.

My biggest complaint with the Wii was knocking my damn beer over.

    Other than that, it's fun.

I think it's stupid. The Wii sucks and this is just like the Wii. I'll stick with my 360.

It's a great idea and probably very profitable.
However, while the technology is very impressive I actually thought it looked kind of stupid as well.
What I learned from the Wii is that half of what I like about playing video games is sitting on my ass, gaining weight...possibly drinking beer.
Prancing around the room like a fruit loop pixie is not my idea of long term gaming fun.
I wonder how many granules of dust my Wii collected as I typed this...hmmm
??? Then why did you buy the Wii in the first place?

It is actually nothing like the Wii.
    Did you see the video?
Yes i did. How is it not like the Wii? The only thing i see that changed is you have no controllers.
The same lame games will be made. they are fun for half an hour but get boring quickly

Racing games are much better on the Wii than any traditional console.
HTH Combat games are as well.
I suspect that this would allow for a much better bridge between PC games (MOO, WOW, etc) and console games, which would be a huge advantage for Microsoft.
If you prefer only a certain genrea, like FPS, then you probably won't like the Wii or this, and that is OK.
But that doesn't make the others "lame".

As far as being similar, the ony thing that I see as being similar is the motion recognition, and that is still very different from the Wii.
Voice recognition, facial recognition, these are all brand new to the console world.
Object scaning is also pretty cool, although Sony got there first with the PS3 eye.
This is about as similar to the Wii as I am to Jared Allen.

    Racing like what?
    Mario Kart?

IF you have a steering wheel and pedals (especially with FF) I can't see how the Wii would be any better than a 360 or PS3.

Thanks to Josdin for the awesome sig!
