Re: Microsoft rant
It took Microsoft 5 years to make XP a decent OS, and Vista will probably need that much time as well, but it appears that MS is already throwing "Windows 7" or whatever into the mix, so I'm a little worried that they will not put as much effort into plugging Vista's gaping holes. I built my PC from scratch and it made sense to get Vista because of the 64-bit version (IE crashes from time to time, but Windows hasn't once yet), but Flash programs still don't officially support 64-bit.
Which sucks.

Re: Microsoft rant
If Macs are so good, why do they have such low sales?

By the way I am using Windows 7 right now and I love it so far, for what it's worth.
I did, however, build a computer from scratch that could handle everything.
I probably spent $500 max for everything and it is FAST.
My company just purchased a brand new Mac for about $8000 and It's about as fast if not a bit slower than my Windows 7 PC.
Macs are OK but I can put together something for not much $$$ by myself where it would cost thousands for a similar Mac.
I do understand the frustrations with Windows OS's, however.
I just don't understand why people feel they need to upgrade to Vista when XP works so well for most people.
Even if you buy a new PC you should be able to get an XP downgrade with it.
Another good idea is to save your existing XP license (if you have a retail version) and do a clean install on the new machine.
That also takes care of a lot of the "junk" companies like HP will bundle with their new machines.
Also, for what it's worth, I've been in technical support for a while and deal with a lot of Mac users (as well as Windows users) and there have been more problems with Leopard (Macs newest OS).

It's funny because the mac owners are always like, "Wow, this never happens..."
Yet it always happens.Disclaimer: I'm an idiot.

try windows 7, for a beta version, the only issues I've seen are with my graphics card that doesn't have an updated driver yet.Microsoft is incapable of making a bug-free product. Being a monopoly for so long evaporated all creative thought and intelligent programing from that company.
It looks like Microsofts gotten their head out of their asses and are finally making a good product.
