This was done by a teenager!

There is a huge rock near a gravel pit on Hwy.25 in rural Iowa.

For generations, kids have painted slogans, names, and obscenities on this rock, changing its character many times. A few months back, the rock received its latest paint job, and since then it has been left completely undisturbed.

It's quite an impressive sight. Be sure to scroll down and check out the multiple photos, (all angles) of the rock. The flag that is draped over the rock is not real. It's actually painted on the rock also.

God Bless America And All the Men And Women who served and are serving to protect our freedom and rights. And those who died for our country. My dad served in three wars starting in WWII. and in my eyes he was and will be always a hero. I have a co-worker that is also a hero. He served 3 tours in Irac for the Iowa Nat. Guard incuding a 18month strech. He was blown up twice as the turret gunner in a hummer and you would think that was enough but his guard unit were told they would be going back in 09. To me he is a modern day hero!

As a vet let me say thanks for all of the comments/thoughts.

    How times have changed......

Back in 1979 I traveled home to MN on leave for the first time and because I was still in a military school I had to travel in my Class A uniform.
Trust me when I tell you, no one thanked me for my service that day my friends......

Lets hope and pray those days never come back.

As a american I want to say thanks to all that have served and that includes our NATO friends plus our non military service members like policemen, firemen and doctors.

Many many thanks to my talented friend Jos for the new Sig.http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v343/josdin00/Vikings/Marrdro_sig.jpg

No matter where you stand on the issues, the current war, past wars, etc. There is one fact ... all of our servicemen and women deserve a debt of gratitude greater than any of us can actually offer.
Days like this are here to remind us of the ultimate sacrifice made by hundreds of thousands of soldiers for our freedom and our way of life.
Thanks to all that have served, currently serve and will serve.
