Re: Mchale wont leave..... What kind of person is he?

mchale doesnt necessarely do as bad a job as ppl say..the truth is that it starts from the top, and works its way down to the bottom..mchale is an awful GM, but glen taylor is the biggest reason why this team stinks..kevin garnett is also partly responsible because hes the one who wanted joe smith on the team regardless of how much it was gonna cost taylor in the first place..garnett wanted cassell and sprewell to stay so badly, but couldnt convince them to sign deals (we offered both fair market value deals that they both turned down)

everybody from top to bottom has played a major role in the failure of this franchise, especially the 3 guys in the country club (taylor, mchale, garnett)

I would argue that garnett should be taken off that list. Garnett is the only reason that this team was competitive for so many years. Garnett is probably the most complete player ever, he should not be responsible for who the wolves sign, those decisions are made by the owner and the gm. McHale like a garnett is a great player and not a great gm, he needs to go.

of course hes a great player, hes one of the top 25 players of all time in my mind..my argument has nothing to to with his talent..he has had a say however in who the wolves do and do not pursue in FA or through trades..he is partially responsible, and he did have a role in the joe smith incident..they wouldve never gone after joe smith (a marginal player) had garnett not told them to

as for wittman returning, KG said he would demand a trade if wittman did not return..we all love garnett, but come on, to think that hes played no role in this whatsoever is just rediculous

ur argument is that he cant be responsible because of his talent, but his talent isnt the thing thats in question here..kg likes to play with his "dawgs", and that has hurt the team at times

Kevin McHale is a complete joke.
He should do the Timberwolves fans a favor and walk away from the game.
Salvage what little pride he can from recent years in the NBA and just leave.
    NEVER COME BACK!
    We f-ing hate you McHale.
You have sucessfully destroyed this franchise...way to go!

the fact the KG has a say is mchale's and taylors fault. They are the ones that make the decisions. If KG was involved in the decision making it is there fault. Every player
on every team has an opinion of which guys could make the team better and which players wont but ultimately it is the gms job. If the gm is going to his players for advice it is even more reason to get rid of him.
KG is expected to play well and be a leader and he has done both of those things well.

Kevin McHale should be the poster child for why great players don't necessarily make great GMs.
Garnett has no business making personell decisions.
They obviously haven't panned out so far.

its just the way basketball works..kobe has a say, shaq has a say, kg has a say..any superstar player on a team has a say in who teams go after in trades or free agency..its taylor and mchales fault, but to sit there and honestly think that kg has nothing to do with it purely because of his on court performance is just ignorance..its everybodys fault

I think this is the first thread I have posted that everybody agrees on.

    Mchale needs to go.
His team of the Boston Celtics is gone just like his wardrobe.

The only man I have seen pick his nose and rub it in his hair.

Re: Mchale wont leave..... What kind of person is he?

The problem is McHale throws first round picks around like confetti. That's just criminal, and ESPECIALLY so for a franchise that had 4 of them stripped away thanks to the Joe Smith balls-up. Marko Jaric? Puh-lease. And if the team didn't tank the last month of the season we wouldn't have one this year! I like the look of Randy Foye and Craig Smith and hope that Rashad McCants can become the scorer he looked like he would be coming out of college. Keeping those 2 at guard and Mike James as the veteran presence (even if he does suck I don't see us trading him because he's just not desirable, contract or ability-wise) and beefing up the front court would be a good start.

Oh well, we can always hope for a top 2 pick. :P
