Ok I read it again, and I still think singer couldn't do his kids homework. You think the world has gone soft on the youth of today. We understand.
I bet you had idiots when you were young too.

No! Back in the olden days everyone was good and wholesome and did their homework diligently without any of that vile outside of the box thinking. They also thought smoking was good for you and that we would have flying cars by 1990. If only we could go back to the days of obedient smart children and wonderbread.Ok I read it again, and I still think singer couldn't do his kids homework. Although your little chart was dumb, not being able to count back change is really sad.
But I don't think you can really generalize it into poor teaching without coming off ass a cranky old man saying "back in my day".

ROFL!
That had me in tears!
It is so true.
I was helping my sixth grade nephew with his math the other day.
I was looking for the story problems.
none nada!
They don't have them anymore, it was sad.

Then I'll completely ignore the cranky old man talk in it that you thought we all should see.
It's still a dumb chart regardless.
Everything is going to heck, the sky is falling and those darn Mexicans are going to take over the country.
Just like the Irish were going to in the 1800's.
Thankfully those dumb kids who can't count probably can't read so they won't be insulted by that post.
