LOL, you guys crack me up.
She came close to messing up my weekend. Lost power about 1:30 or so Sat afternoon which we had backup by 05:00 PM or so on Sun.
Wasn't that big of a deal though as I have a generator that I turned on.
Its kindof funny though, several of us have them in our neighborhood and run cables to the neighbors next to us who don't. My back yard looked like a wire octopus.
Wildwoman had to go in early (She is in charge of supplies for our big hospital) to make sure things clicked) so it was just me and the beagles toughing it out.
Made some 15 bean soup in he slow cooker that made me want to post something in a certain thread about taking a dump.
In the end, she arrived as a Cat 1, vice the Cat 2 they were projecting with her tract staying a to the east of the bay (which is good for me).
Everyone came through it OK, although Wildman still doesn't have power. Gonna go home early from work today and take him my generator.
Glad to hear all is well with you Marr.. you should have taken a leaf out of Baltimore's book and had McKinnie in the area.. all that hot air would keep any self respecting Hurricane away.... lol
LOL, So far thats the third cat one I've been through since living here.Quote:

Suffice it to say, the ground was moving a bit to much around her. I need to get here a [strike]hair[/strike]limb cut before the next one comes along.
Glad you made it through without too much worry there Marty. We made it through fairly unscathed as well. I didn't even lose power throughout the whole thing.
Most of the damage around the Tidewater area had to do with the storm surge. However i think the Noreaster we had 2 years ago did more damage.
Here is a pic of my buddies house that made the local news.
