Malcolm X or Martin Luther King Jr?
Well, I would have to go with MLK. Why? Because he got what he wanted in peaceful ways, by not being violent and killing every white person he saw. He did it by sit-ins, etc.
Now, before everyone starts calling Malcolm X a terroist, I just want to say this. No, he was not a terrorist, and he didn't want to overthrow the government. He taught black people to defend themselves.
Lets say, for example, I just go to your house and start beating up your wife and kids. What would you do? Would you defend your family, or would you try to overcome me with your love and peace? X was a realist.

Re: Malcolm X or Martin Luther King Jr?
ummm.... ok?
btw, he was not just preaching defense, he wanted an autnomous black society(not just equality), and he felt the only way to achieve that realistically was through violence, which is why he supported groups like The Black Panthers, The Nation of Islam, and other black extremist groups. I wouldn't exactly call him a terrorist, because he didn't quite use fear as a weapon to sway public opinion or intimidate people, however, he did advocate violence.

Re: Malcolm X or Martin Luther King Jr?
MLK wasn't a violent person like Malcom was!! Even though MLK thought it would take more time for people to accept, he still knew it was the right decision, instead of Malcom's my way or the high way approach!!!

Re: Malcolm X or Martin Luther King Jr?
MLK - no doubt! He was a person who I could stand beside and say his fight is righteous. Malcolm had some good thoughts but I would have fought his whole agenda because of his propensity for violence. In the sixties Malcolm's anger was something that would allienate most White people.
I would have been one of those people who would have disliked Malcolm in the day. I understand looking back why some black youth would want to follow him. Any race of people will eventually rise up if oppressed for a long period of time. It is in our race to be free!! He was a voice that gave young black men some autonomy and a feeling of worth.
King's way was and still is the better way!!!!
There s only two things stopping you - fear and common sense!! The Truth you CAN"T HANDLE THE TRUTH!!!!!!!!

Re: Malcolm X or Martin Luther King Jr?
Whats ironic is that Martin Luther King stood for non-violence, yet, no matter where in america you are, if your on MLK boulevard theres some violence going down
-Chris Rock...Rodgers had to hold on the ball longer, giving players like Jared "I am completely insane and will literally eat your children" Allen time to sack Rodgers again. And again. And again. Actually I think Rodgers may have nightmares about Jared Allen the rest of the year.

Re: Malcolm X or Martin Luther King Jr?
I respect MLK for the passive resistance method.. It takes alot to sit there and take a beating..
But if it was me I would have been more like X.. Although MLK's method was better because they didn't do anything wrong I wouldn't be able to get hit wit fire hoses each day
