That is true but I still have a problem with Ben leber rated a 78 and AJ Hawk rated a 90. On another note, It's definitely going to be tough to throw as the vikings.

I think Ben Leber and EJ should be rated a few points higher.

Wow, Sidney Rice is already ranked higher than TWill. You know thats a slap in the face. Also......Mike Doss is a 79. I thought that they would rate him a little better.

That's the Vikings correction factor.
The Madden crew go through a complex series of tests and evaluations and conduct hours of statistical research.
Then they knock a couple points off of the teams they don't like.
They do the inverse with the Chargers and Bears.

i expected the linebackers to be a little better like in the lower 80's, wr's have good ratings, and safties are awesome. KEVIN WILLIAMS IS A BEAST!!!! 97 overall!!!

Who's the best in each catagory: (According to EA, Sidney is our #1 reciever). Wow, we do lack depth.

Well that settles it...The 08' madden roster looks to be worse than the 07'.
Not surprising, but certainly disappointing.
Oh well, all the more reason for me NOT to run out and buy it right away.
I'll wait for the price to drop like I usually do.

You don't want a bunch of veterans that are 90's for a madden franchise, you want rookies that you can mold into 99's, peterson, rice. Much better roster than 07.

Well, If the vikings play good this season the stats will go up when you update your rosters online, that is if you guys play online like i do

one thing i find strange is that last year they had greenway as an 82 overall, but this year, after playing a total of 0 games, he's now in the 70's

Well I think week 4 is the first round of updateds. If the Vikes are 4-0 with the #1 D like everyone here thinks then the ratings will jump up!
