Madden 05 or ESPN NFL 2K5

While, Madden has much more in the way of features, it is lacking in overall gameplay, which is the most important thing about a videogame. I own Madden 05 for Gamecube, but I actually still play NFL 2K2 on Dreamcast sometimes, because the game is so much smoother.

The announcers are also great on the 2K series, they're still saying things I've never heard before after three years of playing the game. After 3 mos. of playing Madden, it's usually the same lines from him or Al Michaels.

Graphics, although different styles, are about even. I do like on Madden how you can adjust a player's rating if you disagree with it.

Madden is also better because of the playmaker controls which are extremely useful, like putting players in motion or directing receivers/blockers while the play is occuring, if it breaks down. Besides I usually turn off madden and add my own music (K-West, Any Given Sunday Soundtrack, 2pac) to the game.

ESPN 2K5 is just so poor...

nfl 2k5 has the worst running controls EVER on xbox!!! my friend has it and omg. it is so crappy. i love madden. its more realistic w/ the passing game, but i like cribs in 2k5.

but running is too easy on madden i can get a td every play. excpet its on rookie. 8) i like 2 pass more than run but the controls on madden far surpass 2k5. but our defense is underated. whinfield was like a 89. :scratch: brain russell was a 49. come on. the rest of our defense was in the 70's.

In 2k5 winfield was 79!!!

I actually enjoy the running game in 2k5, alot smoother and realistic, but the passing game is brutal. In madden running is retarded sometime (the physics of it, like if so guy try to trip you up from behind your player will fall backwards like he got planted from the front.

2k5 graphics and presentation + Madden (everything else) = best football game ever.

Madden 05 on playstation 2 is by far the best!! I have never played ESPN, but I don't like it and I really don't like xbox either, because what's inside the two x's? bo (body odor) and that means it stinks!
