    Green lake by New London?

If so I have fished that lake a few times, very deep with a lot of structure. My dad told me an interesting thing about that lake, he grew up in that area. Apparently in the winter time when the ice got really thick they would lay railroad tracks across the lake and run trains across it to save distance that the trains had to travel. I do not think he was pulling my leg, but I can not guarantee that it is true.
What we've got here is failure to communicate.

We used to have a cabin on Pickeral Lake near Ottertail.

My mom lives on Little Melissa right near Pelican. I love the lake country and had hopes as a teenager of being a pro skier. I am the man in the slalom!

My family has a lake cabin on Leek lake. Its in ottertail county. We have had it for 10 years now I think. It is so fun to go there in the summer. It's not that impressive of a place but I will post a pic of it later on.

Thats awsome. Most people I talk to havent even heard of it. It's a pretty small lake but I like it. Not to much boat traffic or anything so it is good for kneeboarding, tubing, and skiing.

The fishing is pretty good to. Not a lot of walleye but there are tons of northerns and bass. We usually just go trolling and catch them all like. We even catch walleye's trolling sometimes.

It's about 10 miles out of Vergas if you know where that is.

Yeah, by Spicer/New London. The lake is the 2nd cleanest in the state I guess. But its nice. Its the lake that was on the news last year that had that WWII war plane sunk in it, and they finally brought it back up. I jet skiied to the area, but couldn't see much...it was too deep.

I'll look into that train thing....I wonder about that...might be local legend!! LOL
