Lake living in MN
I was wondering if anyone has a summer home or place where they go when the warm weather appears in MN...my family has a lake home on Lake Franklin (in Pelican Rapids, near DL) and I want to know if any other purple priders are ever around that area. Here's my fam's cabin on Lake Franklin-

Nice looking place,
Anytime you can live or vacation by the water, be it fresh or salt, thats gotta be nice..
I don't have a place in MN., but I do have two places in the Philippines.
My wife and I have a lot, which we built our house on, in a village called Sagay on the Island of Cebu,Philiippines.. It's in the mountains, but still only a 20 to 25 minute drive to the ocean....
Our other lot we purchased, we haven't started to build on yet, but it's right on the ocean.....We have almost 400' of beach frontage and the lot goes about 800' inland.. We hope to start building in the next year or two..
It's our plans to someday spend 6 months in the States and 6 months in the Philippines...But that is still some time away...
For now, we will just have to enjoy our 4 week visit, every year or two....Lately, it's been every two years that we get the chance to go back and visit friends and family...
I LOVE THE SMELL OF VICTORY IN THE MORNING AIR.

Must be nice!
Your "summer home" is a lot nicer than my "4 season home"!
I can only imagine what your primary residence looks like.

We've got a couple of cabins up on Leech Lake, not to far from Walker. My parents, my uncles, and my sisters. I'm working on mine, but it's not very practical at the moment as I'm out in WA. My family still lives in MN so they get to use them more than one time a year. I do make it back there every year for Labor Day though. I love that area.

I have family in Panama City Beach, so we go there often. My brothers wife is the manager at a condo, so she hooks us up. Although we have not been there yet, My wife's father just bought a house in the Outer BanksNC. He rents it out most of the year. We are going there in July. I guess its really nice. On the water with a pool and hot tub, five bedrooms and even an elevator. Cant wait to go...

Re: Lake living in MN
My brother just built a 4 seasons lake home (about 2800sq feet) up by Perham Minnesota, I helped him do some of the work on it and I was given a key so that i can go there anytime I would like and use the place. So I get the best part of this deal, I get to use the place and do not have to pay the mortgage or taxes! Thanks Bro!
