    Kurt Vonnegut

    is dead.


    So it goes.


    The world has just lost one of the greatest American writers since the founding of this country. He was 84, and it was obvious he wasn't going to be with us too much longer, but for some reason I kept thinking he was never going to kick the bucket.

    Never actually read "Slaughterhouse Five", but the movie was pretty good - any flick showing Valerie Perrine's yabos is good...

    This makes me sad.

    One of my favorite writers ever.

    Satire......he took on science, he took on war, he took on anything and everything and did it in a way no one else ever has.

    If anyone wants to read some stuff and become addicted, a good one to start with is Galapagos. Short, sweet, and Vonnegut at his best.
