Kobe "ButterBean" Bryant 24

OK, Butterbean isn't necessarily relevant, but he was suppended for a game, due to a punch of sorts.

The NBA is suspending Lakers guard Kobe Bryant for Wednesday night's game at Milwaukee for catching Minnesota Timberwolves guard Marko Jaric in the face Tuesday night.

After getting his shot blocked by Jaric, Bryant flailed his arms and caught Jaric in the face with 58.7 seconds left in regulation Tuesday.

Bryant was called for a foul on the play. Bryant struck San Antonio guard Manu Ginobili in the face in similar fashion with two-tenths of a second left in the fourth quarter of the Lakers' 96-94 overtime loss Jan. 28 against the Spurs.

My opinion is that Kobe was trying to pull the continuation foul a bit to far.
He needs to be suspended.
He needs to realize that he is actually going to hurt someone if he continues.

I hate Kobe.
He seems like such an arogant @ss.
Maybe that comes naturally with being one of the best to ever play the game.
Either way he's a complete d-bag in my opinion.

great game last night..the refs almost missed this one..it shouldve been a flagrant at the time, but im glad theyve punished him again for this bush league shit he always pulls

i dont even think it had anything to do with the continuation..he just flat out wanted to bust marko's nose

Kobe is a total douche bag. He hit that dude on purpose. even my grandma could see that.

Both suspensions have been stupid.
Players have been doing the same thing Kobe does since the freaking 80's.
Even Jaric said he can't believe that warranted a suspension.
If the NBA continues on the path it is currently on eventually any contact will be a foul.
No defense will be allowed and the game will consist of players no taller than 6'5.
I sure the hell miss the 90's.

You can't tell me that is his normal jump shot, and your not going to draw a foul by throwing your arm sideways at an abnormal angle and whacking someone in the face.

Maybe the damage done didn't deserve a suspension but the act did IMO, he basically took a cheap shot and he's known for doing it in the past.

On the positive this is the most T-wolves coverage I've seen since they beat the Suns.

It's a pretty smart move, IMO because it makes the guy coming after you think twice before trying to block your shot!

The fact remains though that what Kobe has been doing is pretty flagrant and is definately NOT akin to what other NBA players do.

How about Kobe "Best Player in the NBA" Bryant.

This one seemed a little more intentional than the first time he did it to Manu Ginobli, then again, that could be because it was Manu Ginobli and I hate extraordinarily over rated players in every sport.
