I was my dad's remote when I was a kid, move the rabbit ears, only 2 channels on the old black and white TV, and then the day we got a 3rd channel and later color TV  I was the remote for that too, but I had to fine tune the color for my dad who was color blind, use to drive my mom nuts
Yeah "way back then" we actually had to make up things to play with or about. And no one has mentioned the fact that there wasn't always a remote control for the TV - I remember having to constantly get off the couch or chair I was in and turn the knob on the TV to change the channel...*sighs* The fact that I don't have to do that anymore could be one explanation for why I'm such a "big" guy... Remore controls will be the death of me yet!!!

I barely remember rabbit ears. I do remember the big TVs that sat on the ground that had wood around them. They looked like they had drawers, but they didn't really open.

I just reviewed the list. I was born in 1949 and remember all of them. I never was home in the summer, had to be in when the streetlights came on.How old are they?
Once I almost fell out of the car! I was asleep in the backseat, and my foot opened the door, my dad reached back and grabbed me until he stopped the car. It had no seatbelts, it was an old Studebaker.[move]"Our day WILL come!! I just hope I LIVE long enough to see it!"[/move]

What a bunch of jerk daughters you have (for not using your boy's name). My gfs dad had three daughters before he finally had a boy. He said they would've kept having kids until he finally had a boy!
