Thread: Kent State - May 4, 1970

Many of you will not remember what happened 40 years ago today. It was the height of the Vietnam War and 4 kids were shot and killed at a war protest on the Kent State campus by the Ohio National Guard. You have probably heard the song that CSNY made famous about the shootings ("Ohio").

We've definately had a few low points in our history. That my friends, was one of them.

Course, at the time, alot of people thought the students got what was coming to them. Not sure why, but I bet we can still find a few out there that still say that. (Sad emoticon)

CSN&Y, classic band. CSN do and incredible job harmonizing and Neil Young takes a shitty voice and somehow makes it sound palatable. Robert Zimmerman has the poetry, but, Neil Young has the mesmerizing voice that can drive you to drugs if you're not careful.

All they do now is shoot students with rubber bullets instead.

That is not a joke.
