In other news, he is entitled to his opinion, and there is some truth in what he says.

Asked why out-of-state Guard units didn't come to the gulf earlier, Bond said Missouri's troops were "in place and ready to move" but "they weren't requested."

By the way, all National Guard can be called in to place by federal mandate at any time, they are a state run insitution unless in times of EXTREME duress.

Not that I disagree with what he said, but Kanye West is a total dork!! Not just referring to this outbust, but he's shown this many times.

I was being facetious...I know that two-thirds of the LA National Guard is still available. BUT the fact remains that our resources have been stretched thinner than they should be by our continuing war in Iraq...and at some point we need to reassess what is most important to OUR citizens. The response to this disaster was not what most people wanted...and someone is gonna take the blame...usually those in office, so Bush is gonna have to take the good with the bad. No bashing, just the way that life is.
