Just one opinion article (so don't explode or anything)

OK...I have a feeling that I'm going to regret this, but I'm going to post a link to ONE political opinion article. I hope that we can all discuss this like adults, WITHOUT threatening to kill anyone. :violent3:

Now, for some clarification:
1. I am NOT supporting Bush here. I'm just making a statement about my ideology (REAL conservatism, not Bush pseudo-conservatism).
2. PLEASE spare the vitriol.
3. If things get out of control, this thread will definitely end up getting locked, so chill out, okay? 8)
4. I'm not trying to offend ANYONE.

Before the election we had a forum for this kind of thing and there was rarely a post that got locked so I think you're overreacting a little.

Very interesting article...how do you think that opinion applies to our Social Security system? Personally, I don't think that Bush's tinkering with it is the answer...creating Personal Investment Accounts will NOT help poorer people make more money for their retirement...the main reason that most of them are poor in the first place is that they do not know how to invest the money that they already have. On the other hand, Personal Investment Accounts WILL add to the wealthiest people's ability to make more money and will inject the stock market with an INSTANT and HUGE shot in the arm (falsely inflating the economy and initially making Bush look good). But the long term effects will be negligible for the masses...par for the course under the Pubs.

I'm gonna sit this one out. Don't wanna fan the political fires again. Cajun, I'll PM ya sometime with what I think about your post.

Alot of those could have/should have been easily locked.
