Thread: Just call me "Coach."

Sometimes in life you just get an unexpected break.

I just found out that since my dad got the varsity football coaching job, I will get to be the head 7-8 grade football coach.

This is the perfect situation. I always have wanted to try my skill at coaching and now is my shot.

I know this is still in the basic level of football, but I still believe it will be a blast.

With college put off until the second semester, I have all fall free to see how many kids I can turn into future vikings.

Ok, but seriously, I am looking forward to it.

9 man football with 10 kids out. Ought to be a challenge.

Hopefully everyone stays healthy and elgible, or were screwed.

One kids out, and I have no way to get plays in, so wish me/us luck PPO studs.

Exactly.

I know it's going to be a challenge, but I feel we can win a decent amount of games.

I have some trick plays I have drawn up for this season :wink:

Those kids are going to cry when they face my Maryland I and shotgun formations.

so your dad is a coach, so you get a job? are you head coach of a middle school team?
you have any education in phys ed or sports stuff?

Well I am a certified first responder and I have played since 5th grade. Even played some my first year in college until my shoulder was re-injured.

Tonight we had our first practice (7&8 practiced wish varsity) and we just conditioned them a little bit.

Some kids were ready to roll, some were ready to puke. It made me miss playing football so much though.

These are the best days of these kids lives.

I can't wait for the season to start though, our varsity should be state bound.

hit its lots of hit tis but also try to make conditioning fun make them compete against eachother
