Re: Jury duty excuses could bring charges

I would be a great jury to have, reasonable doubt for me is pretty unreasonable.(see multiple vick and bonds threads for examples)

There are easier ways to get out of jury duty than lying.

And I also consider it a civic duty.
I would rather not do it, because the $25 or whatever you get per day for jury duty doesn't even come close to what I would be losing by not going to work.
But if called and accepted, I would do it.

People currently serving in the military are almost always exempt, but I see no reason for former military to be.
The vast majority of our population shares the same view.

I wouldn't want someone on my jury that really, really doesn't want to be there.
Give me someone that is indifferent and open minded.
    That's how justice is served . . . IMHO.

I didn't say former military should be exempt, but I feel if someone has a real adversion for being there, then maybe they could be excused if they can show the court that they have already served the community in their past.

Most people are only on jury duty for about a day or two, but I don't have any interest in doing that.
    Could care less.

I hope the guy gets prosecuted. Nobody wants to be on jury duty but isn't that part of our....duty to the US. I'd actually like to be put on a jury.

I get the most pissed off looks from people with my VKG 4 LFE Wisconsin license plate, and I LOVE IT!!
