We should probably trade him for young talent and build towards the future.

Still I would rather they keep him and try to win a championship next year. If Liriano can come back and be near they level he was in 06 they would have the top 2 pitchers in the American league. Pick up one or two free agents and they could
be a very difficult team to beat.
We would definatley be tough to beat with Liriano and Santana.
We always go after the lower tier free agents, and alot of times they don't work out.

Hopefully that changes with Terry Ryan stepping down. Don't get me wrong. The guy was absolutely amazing at scouting young talent which he will still be doing for the Twins, but he stretched on a lot of signings over the last couple of years.
If we can get a middle of the road 3rd basemen with some pop, and a DH that does not need to play the field to hit we should be in pretty good shape. We'd have pop in all 3 outfield positions if Hunter indeeds stays. Morneau is the only power hitter we have in the infield. If we sign a DH and 3rd basemen with some pop, we could handle having a single hitting player in Bartlett, Casilla, and Mauer. Our pitching prospects are just going through the roof with: Garza, Liriano, Slowey, Blackburn, Perkins, and Baker. I see us moving Boof to the pen because he is great for a couple of innings and falls apart later in the game. Although the Twins future is pointing towards a changing of the guards, I still see some light at the end of the tunnel.

    Thanks Josdin
