Congrats to him and Twins fans everywhere! And congrats to snow on post 600.
Yeah that's awesome! He deserved it. 13-0 in the second half with a 1.21 ERA or something like that. Those numbers most likely will never be beat by a Twin! Way to go Johan!

I was happy that it was a unanimous vote for Santana. Normally there is a HOMER in there that will give a token vote for there hometown boy.
The awards are voted by the writers before the playoffs start (supposedly) so they didn't see Schilling's efforts and then vote!

I think they do that to try to keep baseball in the minds of the fan. They extend the awards and stuff and that probably equals selling more merchandise over a longer period of time. If they announced them all right at the end of the regular season then none of us would even be discussing this stuff right now. Know what I mean?
