Fudge the yankees!!! :angryfire: Hope they F*** up and become the first team in history to blow that three game lead. I dont like baseball much but i hate seeing them win.

Like I said in a previous thread, we should all just go out and buy the NY hat to wear around the house.

If you can't beat um, join um.

Actually the idea of wearing a NY hat makes me want to throw up.

The Cards had better snap out of it or they will become as big a disappointment as the last several years worth of Braves teams to make the playoffs. They have faced two of the Stros toughest pitchers and did not manage to get much offense going. At least the series will be coming back to St. Louis but if Houston wins that will hardly make me feel better.

Oh well, no sweep...but that would have been sort of a letdown to have done that...I do expect the Sox to not give up without a fight. We will see what happens tonight, it might just turn out to be a battle for the ages.

It looks like the series is now a series...and it is headed back to New York. It is now officially a battle for the ages.

More games = more money. At least a third game at Yankee stadium for Steinbrenner = lots of cash in his pockets. He couldn't let the Red Sox make more money in their series. Yanks will win tonight (if they play) unfortunately!

Normally I might agree about the money angle, but to risk the Red Sox coming back and winning the series (a distinct possibility, as they have one of the most explosive lineups in baseball) would be foolish, even for George. GO YANKEES!!!

I know, I was just joking, I don't think it is really possible to lose on purpose in baseball (I mean I guess you could, but it's tough), but I guess you never really know!

Yeah, I know...but what you said is usually said whenever a series is extended (especially in the NBA playoffs)...it is kinda funny that the same things are always rehashed every year during playoff time no matter what the sport is...LOL
