All right, here's the "grumpy old man's" comment on this...
Spending five hours a day practicing on pen spinning. And what will it gain them in the future that's worthwhile? Nothing. Just think if they spent five hours a day studying or working how much more they would accomplish (and earn)!Kentucky Vikes Fan

I know a chinese kid who can do all sorts of crazy pen tricks, he can also solve a rubics cube in a little over a minute.

I'm sure there are many students, myself included that have spent enough boring time in class to be able to do what they do (albeit not as fast)
