I was actually watching that live on ESPN when it happened.
He fell damn near 50 feet, and hit so hard that his shoes popped off.
One of the first people to reach him was a competitor, and when he got there Brown wasn't breathing.
The announcers didn't know what to say, and after about a minute broke to commercial.
They didn't come back until Brown was being helped off the floor.

He was extremely lucky.
He bruised a lung, and I believe has some liver damage too.
But all in all lucky, because he could be dead.

Yeah I was watching it too, I was expecting him to be dead.
It was good to seem him walking when they came back from commercial.

It is far from suicide.
Of all the events that took place on that ramp (both bmx and skateboarding) there were only two serious injuries, and none of which were life threatening.
It may be suicide if you or I tried it, but these are some of the best in the world and they know what they're doing.

Why in the hell would you call them losers?
They've made more of a name for themselves, and have more talent, than you and I will likely see in our entire lives.

verry true, but i don't know why you should put your life on the risk, to make a name for myself? what if he broke his neck? he would've been paralyzed or dead. and then what? maybe he has kids and a wife...

your right about that they are verry skilled and they are really good, no chance in hell i would risk my life for something like that, even if i were that good

I think they are doing it "for the love of the game"...and the hot chicks.

These people make a living doing this.
This kid is going to make out like a bandit with endorsements once he is healed.
I doubt he has any regrets.
