Injuries caused by turf?
Its kind of ironic that we had turf last year and hardly any injuries, and now we have that grassturf stuff which is supposed to prevent injury to a larger extent, and yet we have the most injuries I can ever remember.

Injuries caused by turf?
I heard the guys on PTI talk about it and they made it soundlike this was just a fluke year. Injuries cycle like this is what they were saying. Someone needs to actually to a study. Until then, it is a big ?????

Injuries caused by turf?
Just the fact that the natural grass has more give and will tear away if too much pressure is put on it makes it less dangerous to players as regards injuries to joints. The turf has more grab and more resistance, as well as the harder surface underneath. I have played on both grass and turf (the Superdome) and have noticed that grab effect on shoes (we used basketball shoes instead of turf cleats because of the gripping effect of the turf). That experience alone tells me that once you plant your foot and someone hits your leg at that exact moment, your foot is staying while your knee will be bent in the opposite direction. At least on grass, your foot will slide a bit making the hit less traumatic on your knee or ankle. Just my experience...
