She needed to be center stage... yet she felt like she was upstaged by a naked woman so she overreacted so the cameras would focus on her. It's all an act for the cameras.

Also, she knew she wouldn't look good in it and no one would want to see her in it.

I hope this thing takes on a life of its own, even without having thier money to help her develop the product further.

Then after they sell their millionth item they can take some of the profits and buy an commercial space on the network on a night when that show is airing (assuming it is still on the air).
I can even help her write her commercials dialog for her:
"After not even getting proper consideration on American Inventor the 'Naughty Knot' is back and available at a store near you."

"Dont worry Marylou Quinlan, you dont have to shop there!"

The "inventor" obviously got what she was looking for...exposure. But it's Valentine's Day, not Valentime's.

I work in ladies sleepwear, and one thing that's always been debated with sexy lingerie (Frederick's of Hollywood, Victoria's Secret) is "how long does the teddy or camisole stay on the girl"? Well, this makes it much easier to remove it. I can see this thing selling...but I don't know many women I'd like to see wearing it. Definitely not that lady on the panel.
