I out-coached a local legend.
I beat a local Coaching Legend.
As most of you know I coach 10yr old girls basketball.
We were undefeated last season.
We play our games at North Crowley High School here in Texas.
Well this past weekend the Head Boys Basketball Coach and Athletic director of the school brought his band of Hooligan girls to play my "castoff, nobody wants to have on their team girls"
Check this out
His team had 17 fouls
2 Technicals
And one girl ejected from the game
They are the dirtiest bunch of 10 yr old girls I have ever seen.
it was a hard fought game. Major D played by both teams.
My team was ahead 5-4 with 8 minutes to play.
They went up 10-5 on us with 3:26 left.
My girls came back to win 13-10 with 1.8 secs left.
All of a sudden this one girl from the "Professional Coaches team" comes running over and throws a forearm into my best players face.
Chaos ensued.
Game ended with his team on the bench while the Tech shot was being swooshed!.
Come to find out he coaches them to play that dirty.
By the time the game was over my girls were givin' it right back.
My daughter Paige played with 2 spained fingers taped together on her shooting hand.
She ended of with 2 points, 4 blocks, 3 steals and 2 assists.
And now she knows how to play street ball for her age.
I am very proud.
It was one of my sweetest coaching victories ever.

Wow, that's a little over-the-top, don't you think, the other coach coaching that way? I guess you did what you had to do. Way to go!!!

It is such a good feeling.
Not only are they improving they are getting so in touch with the "TEAM" concept.
And after that game a little of the "Not in my house you don't" attitude

jeez, thats intense!!!
I played in a Basketball game last year, when one of our kids got punched in the face by the opposing player, the mom of this kid on our team came out onto the court and punched the kid!!
Funniest thing I have ever seen!!!
