Thread: I love Warped Tour!!!

I went to a huge concert today at Comerica Park in Detroit. It's called Warped Tour, and 20-30 bands perform. It was INCREDIBLE!!! You have to be a fan of metal/alternative/screamo, but if you are it is the best thing ever! I'm just so syched (albeit sore) after the concert, and I got cds and shirts and stuff, it was just awesome. Just thought I'd share my joy, don't know if anybody else hear likes that music or has gone to warped tour, but it was so amazing I had to shout out.

How in the hell do they have time to have 20-30 bands play in the same day?
usually 4 day festivals don't even have that many bands play.

I've heard about warped tour, but never knew any details.

they don't play long, only 20-30 minutes each and normally 3-4 at the same time. It goes from about 11 am to 9 pm.

i've been going for 11 years.
there is usually 4 stages, actually more like 6 and bands are scattered all over the place.
it usually be alot more punk rock stuff, but now it's more of that screamo stuff, especially this year.
but usually there are alot more punk bands and it makes for quite a nice yearly tradition of beer, sweat, and rock n roll.

How do they have more than one stage set up in Comerica and not bleed over each other?

you got me, i've only been to the ones in south florida, new york, and new jersey.
there are usually 2 main stages that have bands go on one after the other, the other stages are smaller so that might help explain it somewhat.

they do it in the parking lot, there's six stages, normally two relatively close to each other, and while a band plays on one, another band gets ready on the other, and it alternates back and forth. The stages also vary in size.
