    I just met Carl Eller.

I thought I would go by the MOA and stop by the Vikings Lockerroom early this morning.
I arrived at the MOA at about 9:20.
I intended to purchase one of the 296 rushing record t-shirts.
They were not open yet when I got there.
I sat down next to an older gentleman setting up a t-shirt stand about 30 feet from the entrance to the Lockerroom.
I really didn't pay much attention to the gentleman setting the stand up at first.
    He was rather busy.
Then I finally looked closer and saw that it was Carl Eller.
He was busy, so I didn't really bother him.
    Told him hello.
Talked some Vikings football with him while he was setting up, and asked for a photo.
He told me when he was finished he would be happy to pose for a photo.
But, that he was too busy at the moment.
I told him I understand that, and didn't bother him anymore.

For all of those interested his stand is right outside the Vikings Lockerroom store.
He is selling Purple People Eater t-shirts with a photo of Page, Marshall, Larsen and himself on the front.
    They are $35.00.
    I bought one of those.
He also has jerseys, caps, autographed balls, and other things that he had not got out of the boxes yet.

My feelings exactly. I'm going there to get a new jersey for the game this weekend. I hope he's still there when I get off of work!

    Were the PPE shirts autographed?

Re: I just met Carl Eller.

Carl Eller is one of my heros in a world that has few true heros among professional athletes.
As a "Hall Of Fame" member he was on the "rear of the bus" (not the most famous) the year he was inducted. But when he came out and asked the crowd what good he could do with the HOF honor he shocked the crowd. He is presently the Executive Director of Triumph Services, a chain of chemical dependency rehabilitation facilities located in Minneapolis/St. Paul. A job that probably doesn't pay much. But he works tirelessly for all young black athletes to get them a fair shake and to teach them to be leaders in the communities not just drug addicts, pushers or welfare recipents.
He could be rich off his name alone, yet he runs a T-Shirt stand in the MOA to help fund his passion of helping the black youth of this country.
Now you see why I call him a "hero."

I bought mine there before the first game of the season. But they were out of home jerseys so mine is an away jersey. I'm very proud of it though. I predicted Rice would be a star in the Vikings future and got his jersey early. He isn't a star yet. But I'm still confident he will be.

Maybe just google the phone number and call them up to hook yourself up.

I hope Eller makes a ton of xmas cash.

Or you can tailgate with the PP.Oers & see him in the tailgate lot like he was for the last home game.
