I have never been more thankful to be a Vikings fan

This morning I woke up in a place I have never been before. On the couch, I looked around and had no idea where I was. After looking around a little bit, I noticed a Vikings sticker on a laptop.

Then a man, like no other, said he took care of me last night. His name is CJ. The greatest person ever.

In short, I got drunk last night and remember nothing. I guess I passed out somewhere and the cops came. They called people in my phone until someone answered. CJ is the man who answered that phone. He came to where I was, took me in his car and welcomed me into his home. Without him, who knows where I would have ended up.

Thank you CJ. I owe you my life.

I don't care if you hate me for saying this gregair but you need some help.
You need to start by helping yourself.
It's obviouse to me that you have an issue with drinking.
Please help yourself, before something worse happens to you.
I'm only saying this because I care about others who are in a place that I've been in myself before.....

Not knowing where you are, or how you got there= Blackout.

That is most definitely not a good thing. At the very minimum, you need to slow down on drinking, or quit on your own. It's hard to imagine where you might be, or who you may have injured, if you'd have drove.

We are all glad you are ok, but the issue needs to be addressed, SOON.

I agree Ned, I believe in having fun and I don't want to pass judgment on the choice to drink and how much.
But, I do worry whenever someone goes blank-o.

The only people I personally know that have gone blank-o are people that were troubled with the drink.
One was my best friend in college.
The other was a girl I knew from high school.

Rule of thumb.... if you go blank-o once, that can be attributed to an accident.
If you do it twice, benefit of the doubt, I will give you that.
More than twice and a person needs to evaluate their situation.

    Glad you are alright!

although help is not a bad thing, I'd say you need to start drinking with friends who will take better care of you.
If you were drinking by yourself, then yes, perhaps get help.
If you were out for a night with the guys, or at a party, get some people who will look after each other.
I've passed out before, woke up places taht I shoudln't have, but if I ever think I might be getting that drunk, I do so with friends who I know will make sure I get somewhere safe (even if they do draw on me after I'm at said safe place lol), and I'll do the same for them.
The buddy system, never fails, that way you don't often have to deal with cops, and don't wake up in someone's house that you don't know.

You were extremely lucky that a) they didn't haul your ass off to the drunk tank, b) you weren't hurt, and c) the guy they called was a legit, honest guy.

Re: I have never been more thankful to be a Vikings fan

I've had my share of F'd up nights.
As SIA put it though - going blank-o is not a good thing.
It's really not OK to drink to that point...and I'm not saying that in a condescending tone either - I've been there too.
The Vikings game in Nashville last year against the Titans being one of the more recent times.
IBP mentioned the buddy system - doesn't always work as it's pretty easy to get lost from the herd when bouncing between crowded bars.
Pretty soon you're all alone, lost, confused, drunk, etc.

Any of you hard core drinkers up for a challenge?
Try going 1 full week without drinking.
    Maybe I'll even join you.
If you pass the test perhaps your not an alki afterall, lol.
