I can't believe this, one of the happiest days of my life....

This is probably one of the happiest days of my life.

As some of you know me, I have been denied twice by SS and my lawyer applied for a hearing with the JLH Judge. She also asked the case be expedited, due to the fact that we are close to losing our house, seeing I've been out and unable to work for over a year now.
I have surgery next Thursday on my back.
    A 5 disc removel, w/ a 4 level fusion including instrumentation.

Well, I learned the expedited case was granted, but to my amazment, I recieved the date of hearing today in the mail....Date, June 3rd...unreal.

After Thursday surgery, I have to go to a nursing home for 4 weeks.
I just told my wife, no one in this world is going to make me miss this hearing.

I figure they can get an ambulance and push me into the hearing on a hospital bed....I bet the Judge hasn't seen that to often.

I just ask that everyone send me a prayer please..

    Sincerely,

    Ned

Re: I can't believe this, one of the happiest days of my life....

My wife just had a level 4 fusion (On May 1st) and we had to go through the run around through my health insurance company for almost a month on whether she really "needed" it or we were just getting it without trying physical therapy. So, I know how much bullshit people have to go through with this stuff.
Good luck with all of it ... and glad to see it seems to be going your way!

In a follow up ... the system is so fucked up that I realized for my wifes future health we would actually be better off if her and I got divorced and she was on Medicaid with our daughter. I pay $500 or so in premiums a month, for coverage that is worse than motherfucking Medicaid. It is one of the major problems in this great country we live in ... but enough ranting!!!
Once again ... I am glad to see things going the right way for you and wish you well ... it is not a fun recovery ... and we will eagerly await your return on PP.O.

    Marr,

I've never even questioned if prayer helps or not.....I know one thing for sure, we are going to church tomorrow....

And I'll be praying for each and every person I know out there, and for those who I don't even know.
Like the poor souls in Burma right now.

I'm choked up right now, don't even know what to type.
