Re: I am done supporting the T-Wolves!!!!
I guess I'm not seeing how this is a horrible trade.
Mayo might be a good player, but I think Love will be very solid and Miller is an upgrade over any other player on the roster w/ the exception of Jefferson.
Miller's 3-point shooting will open things up for Jefferson and Love down low.
McCants and Foye are already young guards w/ loads of potential, so why hold onto Mayo?
Telfair played decent at point last year at the point, and they got rid of Jaric's horrible contract.
The only questionable move was getting rid of those expiring contracts.
Hopefully that center they got in the 2nd round will pan out too.
PG Telfair
SG Foye
SF Miller
PF Love
C
Jefferson
Then you'll have Brewer and McCants as solid reserves.
I think that we will see the T-Wolves make a splash in FA this year too.
Clearing up cap space was a big part of their moves these last couple of years.
At least let them get through the rest of the offseason before you turn on them.
Rock out with your cock out!!!

And, I hope, I pray, that they are right and I and the rest of us are wrong.
I'm not turning on the Wolves..
I'm just turning on McHale..
Unless, again, he some how ends up being right with these moves he's making.Vegans are eating the rainforests. =(

Re: I am done supporting the T-Wolves!!!!
Why the hell is everyone so down on McHale.
We know the Coach is really in charge and not the GM right....... Comeon.
Mchale wouldn't make all these trades if the Head Coach wasn't telling him to..........;D(Cracking myself up this morning) ;D
Seriously though.
The whole NBA draft thing is just nuts.
I watched most of it last night just so I could here the scouting reports on every kid taken just in case we traded the rights to our players for a player a team took.
Crazy huh.
Anyway, I kindof have to side with jkjuggalo and Formo on this one.
They really wanted Love but why draft him at 3, when you can make a deal with another team, draft the consensus guy that should have gone at 3, get your guy and save some cash.
I also like how they got rid of some contracts, picked up a 3 point shooter and got the guy they eventually wanted in Love, who by the way, isn't a piece of crap player if you ask me (regardless of his color
;D).
Love gives us some nice pressence down low to help Jefferson out, and again, Miller fits nicely as a outside perimeter guy who should be able to exploit it when teams collapse down on Jeff and Love.
My biggest head scratcher is why did they take Pekovic when he can't help us for at least 2 years.
Is the plan to move him as well?
I really thought they would go with Deandre Jordon instead.
Probably not as good a player, but he would provide a body that could give Jefferson some rest or let him move back out to F.
Again, the whole NBA draft thing just makes me scratch my head.
And all you McHale haters, get offffffffff, again, its the Head Coach making all those trades and moves.
;D (Awwwwwwwhhhhaaaa hhhaaaa haaaaa ha aha ahhhhaa) ;DMany many thanks to my talented friend Jos for the new Sig.

Re: I am done supporting the T-Wolves!!!!
The consensus from all the major news agencies and pundits is that the T wolves did well in the draft.
I think people are really going to like Mike Miller he has a real nice 3 point shot.
This can only help AJ in the front court it prevents people from jamming the middle.
Love, well we will see.

Mayo heads to Memphis, Love to Minnesota

The Minnesota Timberwolves aren't holding onto O.J. Mayo for long. Two league sources told ESPN.com that the Wolves have reached an agreement in principle with the Memphis Grizzlies that will send the draft rights of Mayo, Marko Jaric, Antoine Walker and Greg Buckner to the Grizzlies in return for the draft rights to Kevin Love, Mike Miller, Brian Cardinal and Jason Collins.
You were one of the 5 guys who actually watched them on TV?

Re: I am done supporting the T-Wolves!!!!
LOL
Yeah My support has slowly dwindled over the course of the season. I was hoping that maybe they would get a break in the lottery and pick 1 or 2. I was dissapointed when we got 3 but the idea of getting Mayo was exciting and a very nice consolation prize. This was a guy that many had seen pre-season as the #1 overall pick and if he would of came out last year could of been a top 5 pick as well. I know it is about putting the best talet on the court. Is Love a decent player yes he is but he is IMHO no Mayop and someone that would get some excitement back in the franchise and along ith Jefferson could of been a nice 1-2 combo and looking at adding another player with the young players they haed might of made us
pretty decent team with some excitement about it in the next couple of years. Miller is he a good palyer? Yes. But Mayo of doemne the same thing and created more buzz about it Yeah I think so.

I actually cheered for the Celts before we got the T-wolves.
Funny thing is, I never really felt good when they won.
Nothing like when the Twins won in 87 and 91 anyway. Many many thanks to my talented friend Jos for the new Sig.
