well boys, Rita is gone and we made it back to the house this morning. besides a few tree limps being broken, it seems like everything is good shape here at the casa. I have to be honest with you guys, the first thing that I check was to see if my direct tv works and it does so I guess I better go get ready to watch my vikes play.
I just wanna let everone know that I really appreciate you thoughts and prayers for me and my family and all of the gulf coast. thanks

Thanks to all that showed concern for our well being in the TX and LA areas.

I haven't made it home(galveston) yet but I did have a friend check on my property and he said it looks good from the outside.

We got lucky in the Galveston area as did michaelmazid did in Houston.

Glad y'll (added that for the southern touch), seem to have made it through OK. I am glad that Rita did not do as much damage as everyone was expecting, not that it did not wreak havoc but it could have been a lot worse.

Hope that everything gets back to normal for you soon!
