    Re: Hurricane IKE!!!!!

Over night here the gas prices jumped up 10 cents because Ike make cause shortages. This really means nothing in the long run, and to all those people who have to run away from the storm.

Hope anyone who is down there gets somewhere safe and in a hurry.

Kemah is going to be under water, but hopefully you do not get the wave action.
Galveston Island and my home should serve as breaker for the whole Bay/Houston ship channel.

    Where did you evacuate to?

Man, that is one huge storm. One of my brothers lives down in McAllen, and even that's on the outskirts of the storm. Hope all goes well for you, Snow.

Just saw a stat that 19% of the US refining capacity has been shut down ahead of the storm.

Wow, McAllen is way way down the coast.

They probably have some storm surge and maybe some rain.
They will be on the dry (drier) side of the storm though.

    I am in Oklahoma.
    I have family here.
I was also suppose to be in Dallas on Sunday so it made sense, that event has been canceled.

We just have to see how this plays out.
