    Hurricane IKE!!!!!

    pray for me guys. Hurricane ike is headed straight toward my house in kemah which is right by galveston, tx

    I have a co-worker down there right now for repair work on weather stations...bad timing for repairs.

    Yea it appears to have a bead on you right now.
    Its made a few changes though, hopefully it will slip a little south of you and out of the heaviest population areas.
    I'm in Austin, we are starting to get a fair amount of evacuees.
    If I was you, I would seriously consider it.

    I had to evacuate also.
    My home is in the middle of Galveston Island behind the seawall.
    Better safe than sorry.


    Little worried, hoping the weather channel is wrong about the surge and the wave heights.

    These are so unpredictable.
    God be with you and your belongings!
    I was involved in the Katrina rescue effort in LA.
    I realized that it is always best to evacuate when you can!
    Its better to lose the first game than the last one.
