And I mean the old school camping, hiking ect...
I like to get away and just set up a tent, have a big ass fire and fish fish fish.....My son enjoys collecting insects and rocks and fishing and swimming..
We just love getting away sometimes......Have to run out now, but when I come back later, I'll post some of my favorite spots to camp in seclusion......

im only 14 but me and my friends go camping by ourselves alot. its the most fun experiance there is. espacially at night when your scared outta your wits and are certain that you just saw bigfoot. lol :)

Sleeping on the dirt under the stars is probably the most relaxing thing for me.
I use to take the kids camping all the time.
Once the owner of a house we were renting lost it for taxes, and we were evicted. I was waiting for the mortgage to go through on the house we were trying to buy, so we lived camping in the state parks for two months. (Try doing that with 5 kids ages 4 months to 14 yrs! :lol: )
But the kids still think that was the best time of growing up! I have a new tent, but I haven't had time to go camping since I started back to school.
Maybe I'll do that this summer! :lol:
I used to camp a lot with my family when I was younger but not so much anymore. If I do I have to sleep on an air mattress, I know I'm a wuss!

I love it. I spent weeks at a time in the wilderness while in the Army. I was just talking to my boys about how we are going camping this summer and roughing it!
yeah it is always fun. i like going to the lake, but staying in a cabin. not showering is really fun too. and the lake cabin parties are always the best

I like camping but I haven't had a chance yet since i camehere. I probably enjoy hiking more, just that I am in wrong state(location) right now and can't do much. I know ppl in Utah/Colorado/MOntana have lots of places to hike around.
