If I remeber right, thats a type of Lentil Soup w/shrimp.....Yes I've had it, I love it.
I really love the Filipino version of spring rolls...They call it Lumpia....God are they addicting... ;D
gol 'darnit, I'm really gettin' hungry now . Lumpia is good stuff; we usually served them as a side dish with a plate of Pancit, which, as you probably know already, is a dish of rice noodles with meat of your choice and some bok choy or cabbage, a little fish/oyster sauce, onions, garlic, and of course the mandatory red pepper flakes. Mmmm...

That's it! I'm cooking a Philippino feast tomorrow night
    ;D
I'll be over by dinner time!!!
    Save some for me!!!
    ;D

    Actually Fedje,

This was our third Pig Roast this year, the first two someone else cooked and my wife almost cried both times.
When we left, she asked me both times, how can someone ruin a fine pig like that...

This last one, she decided to have her own pig and cook it, her own way....Man was it juicy and delicious.....She actually called her parents and sisters in the Philippines to let them know that she was feeling like she was back in the islands...The Lechon came out GREAT.....

I told her, she should start a side buisness of roasting pigs for partys...

Margie will have to teach me how to make Lechon before JingJing comes.

Again, did the cheesecake get finished or did it go to waste?

My sister threw a birthday party for my wife and niece (both a day apart) last month and my wife Margie made a tray with about 50 lumpia on it, she fired up her deep fryer at the party and cooked them right there.
They disapeared in about 30 minutes.
I was lucky enough to get two of them.....When people try them, they just go crazy over them, truly a great party food.....I like the ones with pork in them, or the ones with shrimp....both are excellent... :P

They are perfect party food, those lumpia. I'm happy with my GF and her cooking. When we go to parties, people immediately start asking 'Mila, What did you cook?'. Even the other Filipinas love her cooking.
