Happy Thanksgiving from the Vikings

Thanksgiving preferences

It's Thanksgiving Day and America is celebrating by feasting on food, indulging in desert and watching football. Vikings.com caught up with a few players in the Vikings locker room this week to see what their thoughts were on Thanksgiving. Think your family is the only family that eats corn bread casserole? Check again...

Our thanks go to Chester Taylor, Jermaine Wiggins, Ryan Longwell, Tarvaris Jackson, Dontarrious Thomas, Heath Farwell, Ronyell Whitaker and Ciatrick Fason for answering a few questions about their Thanksgiving Holiday.

What goes best with Turkey?

Wiggins: Stuffing
Longwell: Corn bread casserole
Jackson: Dressing
Thomas: Dressing
Farwell: Mashed potatos and gravy
Whitaker: Anything!

Apple pie or Pumpkin pie?

Taylor: Apple
Wiggins: Apple
Longwell: Pumpkin
Jackson: Apple, with ice cream and whipped cream
Thomas: Apple
Farwell: Apple
Whitaker: Pumpkin
Fason: Sweet potato pie

Do you watch the football games on Thanksgiving Day?

Taylor: Yes
Wiggins: Yes
Longwell: They are on, so I look at them.
Jackson: I always played on Thanksgiving in college, so I don't know
Thomas: Yes
Farwell: Yes
Fason: Yes

Who carves the bird at your celebration?

Wiggins: My wife
Longwell: I do.
Jackson: My Mom
Thomas: Either my Grandpa or my Mom
Farwell: My dad, but this year we're going to the Lebers' house
Fason: Me

Any unique Thanksgiving Day rituals?

Taylor: Go to practice
Longwell: My Dad and I always made the pies the night prior. I'll do that with my son this year
Jackson: Play football
Farwell: We used to camp out the night before Thanksgiving

Thanks to PPE for the sig.
