    Re: grossman on my flight

The only sports star I've run into out of the blue is Craig Ludwig.
And I guess calling him a star is a stretch, but he was on the Stars stanley cup winning team, and he brought the cup to the bar his brother owned in my old home town.
Seeing the cup was probably cooler than seeing him.

    I've got you all beat.

I met Mr. and Mrs. Shockzilla AND Mr. and Mrs. AngloVike last year...

...then I met SingerSP, VikingQueen (Singer's Daughter), and VikingNed a few weeks later.

I've met a handful of former sports figures through my life...none of whom really made me go, "Oooooh!"...mostly because I was a kid and none of them were people I knew anything about (Except Ernie Banks).
But I completely understand the reaction people have.
It's always cool to see someone you watch on TV in real life.

well.. celebraties.. i've seen a lot of hollywood ones in Telluride Co

    sports ones,
snowboarded with the liquid, nitro, burton teams up in crested butte and Tride.

skateboarded with the "Bones Brigade" back in the late 80's in mpls. (even got a rob roskop signed deck)
Even got to see some 'H' street footage shot in some parking lots. as far as pro players go, got to hang out with Chelios once during the North star games, and Brett Hull was sponsered by some old friends of mine. got 2 see him lots while at umd and when he first went to the blues.

I once saw Wilt Chamberlain eating about two tables away in Manhattan. I didn't bother him, though, cos he was with a lady friend
    .
That and I got to meet PacNWVike yesterday at the Seattle game.

Lee corso was on my plane and we got his autograph.
My friends cousin is Todd Jones, the closer for the tigers so I got to see him when he was with the Twins and meet all the players.
Ortiz was on the twins then.
My brother is good friends with Daunte so we got to meet all the Vikings last year and Dolphins this year.
Still want to meet ricky though!
Nov 5, I will be at the chargers game to see Clint Hart, their backup safety and nickelback play because he is from my town.
He is gonna introduce us to all the players the day before at practice.
We get to watch from the field them practice.
    Im excited.
Tony Little, the guy with long hair who does the gazelle exercise thing has come to my river house before after my brother met him in Canada.

I sat next to Jim Marshall at a bar in downtown MPLs a few years back. We had a nice chat. But I could tell he was interested in something else IYKWIM. Thats where the conversation ended.Typical
