Grilled Secrets and Recipes...
Whats up all. As most of you know we are coming down to the time of the year were BBQ, Beer, and The Vikings will once again grace the couch as we enjoy another win
BBQ'ing became something I am very interested in probably because of my love for meat. I could never be a vegetarian EVER!
What are some secrets for your BBQ... and good recipes?
OK instead of these worthless tips how bout you tell me some tips
Calico Beans
Ingredients:
1 pound bacon
1 pound ground beef
1 onion (chopped)
1 can of each of the following:
kidney beans, butter beans, baked beans, and great northern beans
1/4 cup molasses
1/2 cup catsup
1/2 cup brown sugar
1 tablespoon prepared mustard
Directions:
Brown beef and onion, then drain. Brown bacon and drain.
Place in crock pot - add remaining ingredients and stir well.
Cover and cook on low heat 4 to 9 hours. Stir occasionally.

Or are you talking about something particular?
Is "prepared" mustard another word for powdered mustard, or does it mean prepared into a paste

I just put that up for people who use Gas. I don't..... Lawry's I don't mind it I kind of like it. Open lid is for Gas grilling not Charcoal Grilling.Gas, Lawry's, Open lid on the grill? who taught you to cook, Chef Boyardee ???
Did you not read this?
Lawry's is good if you want something else besides Salt and Pepper. But otherwise keep it away from food you are cooking especially grilling. even in small amounts it dries the food out. Sugar based marinade are fine depending ion the way that you grill, most sugar based marinades. IE BBQ sauce are designed to be used with indirect heat as opposed to direct heat. To add variety of the flavor to the meat, I would use a smoking wood. depending upon the type of meat you are using. They even make smoke boxes for gas grills now. still not the same but they do work
