Greatest catch ever? Not even close!
It was a great play that resulted in a TD when the two defenders collided & the receiver had nothing but field in front of him.
But what was so great about the actual catching of the ball itself? - Absolutely nothing.
That hardly constitutes a "greatest catch ever"
still having a bad day i see

Re: Greatest....Catch....Ever!
as for it not being a spectacular catch, here's the checklist of why your wrong.
1. whole front of his jersey grabbed by defender while the ball was in the air
2. terrible wobbly throw
3. broke tackle immedietly after the catch
4. caught ball in double coverage
5. caught in final second of the game(PRESURE!!!)
6. edmontons stadium is the only natural grass turf in the league, bombers didn't even practice on natural grass prior to the game. big difference in traction
7. made the play on the road, bombers struggle there
8. made it into the endzone with an escort
list goes on but they're not to big after that

Not the throw, not the run afterward, but the actual act of catching the ball that made you think it is "the greatest catch ever".
Is that easier for you to comprehend, or should I type it slower for you.

Maybe not the greatest catch ever, but greatest play ever? Ok, maybe not that either, but still, a 100 yard TD pass to win a game is pretty nice."YogidAbEAR" wrote:

He also appeared to have both defenders beat when he caught the ball.
Any number of Cris Carters "toes in bounds" catches have that one beat.

Re: Greatest....Catch....Ever!
Know what catch I really liked? That one on 4th and 26 by the Eagles against the Packers a couple years ago. That's just the first one to come to mind. Worst one, just because it came to mind, was the Cardinals one against the Vike's that ended our playoff hopes. I think that was the same year...
WE CAN BUILD ON THIS!!!

In AP I trust
