Some are "criminal" others are not.
things like speeding up to 49km/h over the speed limit, stop signs, red lights, etc. are not considered criminal offenses here.


Read up on the Highway traffic act, or equivalent in your state.
In Ontario, things like speeding, or minor charges a violation of the Highway Traffic Act, not the Criminal Code of Canada, however, speeding in excess will also get you a reckless or dangerous driving fine, which IS a violation of the Criminal Code of Canada.

If you didn't do anything serious, you might want to consider talking to someone and finding out why it is you have a criminal record for something that should not be considered a criminal offense.
