If only the tears that formed in the eyes of Crosby-Ironton coach Dave Galovich after his team advanced to the Class 2A championship game with a victory on Friday at Target Center were tears of joy.
32-0 and one more tomarrow for the State Title!

The Crosby-Ironton Rangers are accustomed to taking every opponent's best shot. That is part of being an undefeated team on the cusp of a championship.
But the physical crew from up north had not faced the speed and athleticism that St. Bernard's brought to their Class AA semifinal matchup Friday night at Target Center.
Crosby-Ironton needed resolve and staunch defense at crunch time to pull out a 66-60 victory and vault into today's state championship game.

I got to watch the game today via Slingbox, and I was home for the game against Cass Lake-Bena around Christmas.

They are fun to watch, Tesdahl (sp?) is a smooth passer.
I was at The Barn in 87' the last time they went to the finals and I think it was the loudest crowd I've ever heard at a sporting event (I was only 11) I remember not being able to hear myself yelling over the roar.
Here we go C-I, Here we go!

Seriously though, these kids feel like they're playing to save all the athletic programs in our district. It’s going to be a very emotional game for them.
Less than an hour to go!
