of CRASHING americans maxed out in credit -[ WHY CRY? JUST RE-FI!] stock market dropping fast.............is this the beginining of the second deppresion? just like back then people are borrowing to pay the bills. people have forgot "if you cant pay cash, you dont need it" :sad:

I'm not maxed out in credit yet, but if gas prices keep increasing like they are I will be soon! lol

they said up .25 again today- the stock market is dropping like a freaking rock! sellsellsellsellsell!!!

we cant blame anyone. we have used up our resources to quikly. are your kids gonna be better off than you? for the first time in U.S. history most people say no. U.S.A.- the rockets red glare is burning out. live fast, die young. turn out lights the partys over. the good times are really over for good.

Gas prices are out of our control (walk more or ride a bike). Maybe we should have more oil and gas exploration here in the US. We could start drilling for more oil off the shore of California, in Alaska or places like the Otero Mesa in NM.

The housing market is a seller's market where I am at (perfect for my family's situation, and we intend to sell next year). Your situation may differ but your local economy has as much control over your local housing market as anything else.

My wife and I haven't been financially better ever (we had worse credit problems during the 90's). And we are looking forward to more success in the near future.

I know some people are hurting around the country but it will always be that way and I just don't see it being any worse now than since the dot com boom ended.

But, then again, maybe I just look at the glass as half full... :grin:

well, Americans have been living a fantasy in gas and housing markets for some time. Don't think of it as a crash so much as a market correction. Real estate has been over valued in many cities so much that economists describe the housing market as a bubble -- where the upward expansion will eventually burst. And we've been living in oil-subsidized heaven for decades. If this is the end (and I doubt it is), it was good while it lasted. It will be interesting for Americans to pay the real price of gasoline. I might actually have more company on my bicycle commute to work. And it will be nice to finally have housing prices that are more reasonable and perhaps within reach of households who make less than $70k a year
