Gesh, and I made fun of him for pulling out of the UFC event this weekend a while ago. Now I just hope he gets better and can functional normally. He can worry about fighting after that. Depending on what it is, he could lose a lot of weight and be out of fighting for much longer than he wants.

I heard on the news this morning that he was released from the ND hospital...and that he's suffering from a bacterial infection.

I keep up with MMA almost as much as football and can't find anymore to this story anywhere, bloodyelbow, cagepotato, mmaroot-share-scraps all have nothing more and those are the pretty in depth MMA sites, Some speculated Mono, Meningitis, Swine flu, Bad pneumonia. Now Dana White says Lesnar had a hole in his intestine repaired that had been bothering him for almost a year-Thats what gave the false Mono assumption.

Former Gophers wrestler and current UFC heavyweight champion Brock Lesnar left a North Dakota hospital Tuesday and was en route to his Alexandria, Minn., home after he was hospitalized for a bacterial infection in his intestinal tract, according to his mixed martial arts trainer, Greg Nelson.

"No one can tell, but it seems right now it's something he'll definitely recover from," Nelson said.

I was listening to KFAN the other morning and former Viking Mike Morris says he suffers from teh same disease.
basically you get these pollup type things inside your colon.
If left untreated they will burst leading to infection.
This what I understood happened.
He had several more that they used antibiotics
to shrink before they treated them, another reason he was in the hospital for so long.

Apparently he nearly died and has a new outlook on life.
