Well, you are actually getting injected with a form of influenza. Then your body can build an immunity to it. Works well. Same thing as the yellow fever vaccine.
i'm afraid of needles, but more afraid of the flu.
I wont take flu shots. I got one about 5-6 years ago, and that was the only time in my life I have ever gotten the flu. Besides everyone knows the Government is trying to take mind control of us with flu shots.

I used to be a medic in the Army. I have seen it all when it comes to giving a grown man a shot.
If we were going overseas, we had to have a GG shot; 1 in each buttcheek. It was a rather large diameter needle, very huge. And the GG was as think as peanut butter. So, you would have a golf ball in each buttcheek for a week! Man, it sucked. But, I did not mind giving them. It was actually quite funny! :grin:
There is a flu vaccine that is administered in the nose, like a nasal spray, for those of you that don't like needles.
I had a flu shot last week for the first time in my life and I tell you what, I am sick as hell right about now and some people are telling me that it is from the flu shot. So if you ask me, Don't do it man.
Unless you are at risk from getting the flu I would say no.
Risk meaning that you have a medical contition that getting the flu could make very serious. Or you are in an occupation where you are exposed to lots of people. Like being a school teacher.
