Nothing but safety onboard the Angler.
Only thing I really do that is dumb is drink a few beers, but usually have someone onboard that isn't drinking.

Big rockfish are everywhere.
Nothing but fun hooking them and then watching the game afterwards.

It is hard to picture how his fingers were stuck.
The bottoms of them still had to be exposed to cut them off.
It is hard for me to believe that there was not someway to pull out your fingers.
They were trapped between the boat and rock and he could not free them.
I guess anything is possible.
