Feds close internet poker sites PokerStars and Ful

Anyone else play on Fulltilt? I've been playing pretty steady for about the last year. Totally rocked my world. Luckily I had recently cashed out most of my money so only lost about $13(which I may someday get back).
Damn guberment.

Re: Feds close internet poker sites PokerStars and Ful
I used to be a serious online poker player - before I had kids.
For the years 2004-2007 I cleared about $7k a year or so.
The last couple of years I have still played alot, but less hands means less practice. I had $1,100 in my account when this was announced and FullTilt let me take it all out with no problem over the last few days with a couple of phone calls.
I am very disappointed in this bullshit and it really upsets me that the government has pursued this so hard and spent millions (if not billions) an pursuing this venture to get what most think is trumped up charges.
Unfortunately, it is not likely to be fixed or changed any time soon, so to play poker I have to find a way to get away from the kids/wife for a weekend and hop over to West Virginia.

Re: Feds close internet poker sites PokerStars and Ful
I've been trying to use Carbon Poker but they won't let me make a deposit.(I know there is a way, just haven't went the extra mile to make it happen). Also they have far fewer players(most I've seen the last couple days is 9,000 at a time compared to fulltilts 120,000).
I'm fine if the goverment wants to regulate or tax the poker sites, but to just shut them down is a dick move IMHO.

FullTilt was the only one I ever really liked. I might give UltimateBet a shot.

I am lucky in that I knew the ruling about seconds after it happened (work in a newsroom) and immediately starting getting funds out before the site adjusted too much.

It was Rutgersfest when the announcement was made. Everyone was drunk or getting shot at, so we were a little busy.
