Favorite Sports Movie

I finally got around to watching 'Friday Night Lights' the other day after I've owned it for a while (it was a gift). And I have to see I wasn't really all that impressed. People were saying it was one of the best sports movie ever, but for me, it was just "Meh..."

My favorite sports movie remains to be 'Miracle'. It told the story great and it went way deeper than the sports with the whole political situation and what not during the time of it. I think they also did a good job of capturing it, also. Great camera angles and shots of the different on the ice hockey scenes did it for me, too. Maybe it's just because I grew up on hockey, I dunno.

So what sports movie do you prefer?

Depends on my mood. If I'm in the mood for a funny sports movie then it has to be 'White Men Can't Jump', 'Bull Durham' or 'Major League'

Favorite serious sport movies are 'Miracle', 'Cinderella Man', 'Rocky' and 'Million Dollar Baby'

I hate Notre Dame, but the best sports movie is Rudy.

Hoosiers, Rudy, The Natural, Bull Durham, The longest yard(both arent bad), Miracle, Million Dollar Baby, Cinderella Man. those are some of my favorites.

Vision Quest - the only movie that has ever come close to capturing what real wrestling looks like and what its about.

Bull Durham - Has it all for a movie: humor, great dialogue, great story.

Hoosiers - Classic story, great cast.

Edit: Raging Bull - just awesome.

The Program......gosh I love that movie.
